CTE to Lead 1,000-Bus Initiative as DOE Signs $12.6 Billion Agreement for California’s Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub Project
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced the signing of a landmark $12.6 billion agreement, including up to $1.2 billion from the DOE and $11.4 billion in public and private matching funds, to accelerate clean hydrogen projects throughout California.

CTE Provides Technical and Proposal Support to 16 Transit Agencies Awarded Funding Through the 2024 Low-No & Bus and Bus Facilities Programs
CTE is proud to announce its continued success in developing winning proposals for transit agencies across the US through the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Low or No Emission Vehicle Program (Low-No) and the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program (Buses and Bus Facilities). Out of the nearly $1.5 billion awarded through both programs this year, the agencies that CTE supported were awarded more than $320 million.

Fueling the Future: Key Takeaways from ZEBRA's Pivoting to Hydrogen Roundtable in Rochester
The Zero Emission Bus Resource Alliance (ZEBRA) partnered with the Regional Transit Service (RTS) in Rochester, NY to host a hydrogen-focused roundtable, "Pivoting to Hydrogen," on June 11th and 12th. Representatives of 24 transit agencies across the US and Canada gathered to share experiences on hydrogen fuel cell electric bus (FCEB) deployments and learn about the fueling and infrastructure technologies offered to support zero-emission bus (ZEB) programs.

“Electrify Lawrence”: City of Lawrence Deploys Second Round of Battery Electric Buses
CTE partnered with the City of Lawrence, Kansas for a successful award under the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) 2021 Low or No Emission Vehicle Program (Low-No). Under this award, Lawrence Transit received funding to replace two diesel buses from its fleet with two 40’ 686kWh GILLIG battery electric buses (BEBs), marking the second phase of the “Electrify Lawrence” Transit BEB deployment project.
