The Center for Transportation and the Environment hosted its 11th annual Zero Emission Bus Conference (ZEB Con) at the San Diego Town and Country Resort from September 26 to 28, attracting a record-breaking attendance of more than 700 enthusiastic participants.

Workforce training and skill development for these new technologies are essential components of successful technology deployment. Over the past year, CTE has developed a Workforce Development Planning methodology that helps fleets understand when and how to modify their current training protocols to upskill for new ZEB expertise.

In July, the Zero Emission Bus Resource Alliance (ZEBRA) hosted an Energy Management Roundtable in partnership with Montgomery County, Maryland. Representatives of 15 transit agencies gathered to share experiences on zero-emission bus (ZEB) deployments and learn about the cutting-edge technologies offered to support ZEB programs.
